A poet is a man who puts up a ladder to a star and climbs it while playing a violin.—Edmond de Goncourt
I teach everyone, young and old, from beginners to advanced. Most of my students start out on 30 minute weekly lessons, but I also teach in 45 and 60 minute increments.
My studio is in the Manitou Community Center, at 4806 S 66th in Tacoma. You can have lessons there, or I can drive to your home. I currently teach students in Tacoma, University Place, Lakewood, Puyallup, Spanaway, Graham, Buckley, and Enumclaw.
I charge $40/ hour if you take lessons at the Manitou Community Center. If I drive to you, I add on $0.50/mile I drive. Tuition for the month is due the first week of every month, and is equal to four lessons, no matter how many lessons are taken.
If you give me at least 24 hours advance notice that you will be unable to make your lesson, I would be happy to schedule a make-up lesson with you, depending on availability.
I teach Monday through Thursdays. I have my schedule up here, but I don't update it every day, so it's best to call or email to check specific availability.
Included in your lesson tuition is tuition for a monthly group class. This is available to every student of mine, and times are assigned based on playing level and age. I also supply each new student with a notebook for their lessons, flashcards for learning notes, and a CD to listen to.
You can contact me by phone, 253-267-2063, by email, or through this website.
